The short answer

Google Ads is testing a campaign creation flow that opens with a prompt box. You describe your goal, and Google AI suggests goals and assets from what you wrote. Google's Ads Liaison confirmed on X that "this is an experiment." A link to create the campaign manually sits under the box.

What the screenshot shows

A practitioner who posts as Dima (@skills_web) shared a screenshot on Oct 9, captioned "New campaign creation flow on Google Ads." The screen asks one question: "What's your goal for this campaign?"

Under it is a line that reads "Google AI will suggest goals and assets based on your input," then a text field labeled "Describe your goal." Below that is a link that reads "Create campaign manually."

So the flow starts with a sentence you type.

What Google said

Yes, this is an experiment. We welcome advertisers' feedback around how and where this type of workflow would be helpful.

That's the whole confirmation. There's no help page, no announcement, and nothing on who's in the test or whether it will roll out.

What we don't know yet

  • Who sees this flow, and in which accounts or countries.
  • Which campaign types it can build.
  • What the suggested goals and assets look like once you type something in.
  • Whether it becomes the default or stays a test.

What to do

  • If you see the prompt box and don't want it, use "Create campaign manually." It's right there on the same screen.
  • If you try the prompt, write the goal as a business result, like the leads or sales you're after and what each one is worth to you.
  • Read every suggested asset before you launch, the same way you'd check any copy Google writes for you.
  • Google asked for feedback on where this would help. If you have an opinion, tell your rep.
